I'm Vidhyapriya KS, an independent type designer and the founder of Fontastic Foundry. My work explores Malayalam letterforms through original typeface design and digital font development, creating more ways for designers to express ideas in our script.

Malayalam is a script of curves, loops, and rhythm, with a visual history that belongs to Kerala. Yet designers working in it have often had far fewer typographic choices than those working in Latin. Fontastic Foundry exists to widen that choice, one carefully drawn family at a time.

A typeface is not just a tool. It is a tone of voice.

Each typeface in the collection starts from a feeling or an idea: a bold voice for short, striking messages, a storytelling family for headlines, a set of contrasting forms for display work. From there it is drawn, refined, and built into a working font that designers can use in real projects.

The foundry is independent by design. That means every release carries a single point of view, and every enquiry, whether about a font, a licence, or a custom project, is answered by the person who made the work.
